I looked high and low for this style of watch because a family member had a similar one back in the 1940s when I was a child. I like the shape and the 30s retro appearence. I wanted a watch with a battery for the convenience and this watch fits the bill. I have had many compliments on the style. The one complaint I have is that the watch band is shorter than I would like. Increasing the length by a centimeter or two wouldn't cost too much for the maker and then I would have been 100% satisfied.
I would buy this watch again for myself or for a gift.

This watch is awsome. It has 5 alarms, stopwatch, automatic calendar, timer, light, and is waterproof. What more could you ask for. It feels very sturdy and is definately no cheap Drug store watch. I have owned 3 to 4 hundred dollar watches and this one takes the cake. Simple yet sophisticated design, comfortable, and less than 75 bucks shipped express. There is no better deal out there, I've searched. All in all this is no TAG but for the money it blows away all the other watches in this price range and even more expensive ones. Don't think just buy it, you wont regret it.

This watch band looks great but had I known it was soooo stiff I probably would not have bought it.I am having a hard time getting it to buckle and the watch kinda sits up off the wrist.If you have a very large wrist it might work better for you.It is just really hard material.Was packed great and arrived quickly.I wouldorder other types of bands from this seller.

Review of Invicta Men's Pro Diver Collection Stainless Steel Watch # 5618

I have a dozen Invicta watches in my collection, including this one. I rate this one as follows:

Style and appearance: Five (*****) Stars
Comfort: Five (*****) Stars
Quality: Five (*****) Stars
Value: Four (****) Stars
Functionality: Zero (-) Stars

The ISA quartz movement in this watch does a decent job of keeping up with the phases of the moon (easiest if you set it on a full or new moon) but an awful job of keeping up with tide changes. That, of course, is because tides vary greatly by geography, with some coastal areas cycling twice as often as others.

Thus, out of respect for the intelligence of the customer and their own integrity, Invicta should have had a disclaimer that the tide function is pretty much a novelty item - much like the "navigation chart" placemats at seafood restaurants.

That said, there is much to like about this watch, which is styled in the Corduba collection - but, for whatever reason, not included in it. The size is about right for most wrists, given how much bigger watch faces are at the moment. Invicta makes quite a few watches in the 50-54 mm range - massive for all but the brawniest wrists (think Popeye).

This combination stainless steel and poly-resin band, with dual-screw posts, is easy to adjust to fit comfortably. It is a handsome look, and rides very easily on one's arm - a very solid look but not quite as heavy as some watches in their line can be (a Sub Aqua Noma III, for example, can weigh in at more than 225 grams).

The face is very attractive and easy to read. The Tritnite markings work well in the dark. The moon-phase window, in contrasting nautical blue at the 10 o'clock position, is a very pleasant addition to the traditional black face. The bezel, in matching black, turns well and adds functionality to the watch.

I'm glad I got it. There are many more things about it I like than I dislike - and the things I dislike are not major. However, Invicta does not provide the user with any instructions (and I mean none) for the proper operation of this watch. To add injury to insult, several emails to their sales department - first asking and then begging for proper instructions - were ignored. Their yachting edition Pro Diver - an even nicer watch, in my opinion (perhaps because the racing timer actually works, as opposed to the tide clock) - is similarly afflicted. Both of these watches are not operated intuitively and, while I have discerned their modalities, most would be challenged to get them to function as designed.

So the tide function being mostly for show and the uncaring attitude of the company when it comes to advising new owners in the operation of their timepieces are what earned this watch - which is really very nice looking - the three-star rating overall.

Now, if you have read to this point and still want the watch (because it is so handsome), don't care about the tide function and will need to operate it without guidance of any sort from Invicta, here is how you use it:

Moon setting button at 2 o'clock: Unscrew the protective cap over the crown and swing it away from the 2 o'clock pusher. Press and hold until it beeps. Release and repress to move the hand clockwise around the face. As I said, this is easier if you set it on the new moon or full moon, but you can align it on either and then count forward, depressing the pusher for each day. That should do it. After a few seconds without pressing the pusher, you'll hear another beep signaling that the setting mode is canceled. Also, this function does not set in concert with the hour/minute hands, so set the time at the designated hour and minute of the new or full moon before setting the moon phase, so that you have the appropriate day-long adjustment. Then reset the time to your local time.

Setting date and time: Unscrew the protective cap from the crown. With a rubber jar-lid gripper (or small smooth-face jeweler's pliers, if you have them), pull the tiny crown out to the first detent position. Adjust the date to the day before the current date. Pull the crown out to the second detent position (stopping the second hand at 12 o'clock if you want a precise setting) and adjust the time forward past midnight (so that the date flips to the current date), then keep moving the hands forward to the current time. This ensures that the hands are properly set in the am or pm part of the day.

Setting the tide function: This is strictly for s**ts and giggles, since it is not at all accurate, unless you live in a tide zone that coincides with the timing mechanism of this watch. Press and hold the pusher at 4 o'clock until you hear a beep. Then release the pusher and re-press it to move the tide hand forward clockwise. Release the pusher when it is at the appropriate phase for your local tides. Then, if you want it to be meaningful, repeat this about every hour so that it vaguely tracks the rise and fall of tides in your area.

Review of Timex Men's Expedition Easy Set Alarm Classic Analog Watch #T45101

Sometimes you find a watch that you really like, more than others. Such is the case of this Timex Men's Easy Set Alarm Classic Analog Fullsize Watch and my son, who found this one on his own. He had asked that I get him a watch as a Christmas gift, so I told him to find one that he really liked wondering what he would come up with.

For some reason Timex watches have always had a place in the lives of my family members, as previously noted in a review that I posted on my Timex Men's Outdoor Performance Digital Compass Expedition Watch. The late John Cameron Swayze coined the now-famous phrase "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking" when he did his old black & white TV ads, and all of the Timex watches that I've owned lived up to that saying.

So when my son told me that he had found a few different watches, including this, I asked him to explain what he liked about each one. He liked the charcoal face with full numeral display around the inside of the watch face, along with the luminous hands, the date in its little window and the Indigo illumination. He really liked the moveable exterior bezel, and that it had an alarm feature that was said to be easy to set.

Being the practical parent, I liked the stainless steel case, the weather-resistant leather strap and the fact that the watch was water-resistant to 50m. Also liked that it was said to use less battery power than other watch illumination systems, which enabled the watch battery to last longer.

Could see that he liked this particular watch better than other models, and even though some were more expensive and "had more dials" than this, he liked the looks of this one better. And on December 25th, you should have seen his happy face when he unwrapped it and put it on.

But that's not the end of this little tale about this watch.

I do like timepieces of many kinds, and had been looking at a particular Swiss Army watch that seemed to be a nice choice. My son happened to see me looking at the selections here on Amazon.com, then asked why I didn't get one like his, reminding me that I had said that I always liked Timex.

And he was right, so that's how I ordered one of these for myself, and now we have a matched pair that we're both quite happy with.

This is a very well constructed replacement band and the over-all styling and quality are a good value at the retail price. However, the "connector pins" are a smaller diameter than the original issue which are more heavy duty. I tried to use these in the new band but they didn't really fit through the wholes. I'm concerned that the smaller pins might give way while I'm wearing the watch so I am searching for some sturdier pins before I use the new band.

I have a Breitling Superocean that I wanted to get a leather strap for and when I looked at original Breitling straps, I was stunned at the prices - some going over $300! Fortunately, I saw Fluco's straps, which, were also in genuine leather and made in Germany with the same look and style as the originals at less than $30! Needless to say, I went with Fluco.

I know, you might say that placed side by side, the originals are far superior, but that's not the case since my friend has a Breitling Colt with a 19mm black strap in this style but from Breitling and I have to say that you have to really look hard to tell the differences. Actually, in my opinion, besides the buckle and print on the under side, I can't tell them apart. Basically, if you put on a Breitling buckle on this strap, 95% of the people probably can't tell the difference.

Overall, this is an excellent buy. Couldn't be happier.

There are a couple of Mondaine watches that look very similar: A6603032811SBB, A6583030011SBB, A6583033211SBB. This one is definitelythe most elegant, albeit the dial to me is too oversized. Then you have the 011 Mondaine - A6583030011SBB (Size: men), not only cheap in terms of money, but also cheap looking, definitely a disapointment when you open the package. Finally, the 211 Mondaine - A6583033211SBB (Size: men), probably the best but in terms of money versus value and elegance. I would go for that one.

I loved this watch for as long as it lasted - the time started going wacky at 11 months despite the fact that new battery was installed.Three months later when the watch was just over a year old the strap went to jelly and the now it's just one long slit so there is nothing for the catch to hold on to so the watch is useless. I'd stick with Swatch if they replaced their watch straps - stupid money-making greedy pigs - too bad.

The watch in itself is a good one, however, do not try to depend on it in the dark. Personally, the light function on a watch is very important to me so that's why I gave this 3 stars. Everything else on the watch works great especially for the price: $12.00. If not having a light doesnt bother you, this is a major steal at this price. For me, its rather disappointing. I never knew how often I used the light until I got one that didnt have it.

This dark-blue and silver/white model of the G-shock vibrating alarm watch is fantastic and so was the service from Bodying.

I couldn't find this exact model online anywhere else and I ended up thrilled that I purchased it from Bodying.

I ordered the watch around midnight on a Wednesday and received it Monday morning (essentially 2 business days later!) even though I did not pay extra for expedited shipping. Also even without specifying gift wrap, it was packaged beautifully with a little free surprise candle and a beautifully handwritten holiday card!

I am not sure if there is a quality control and the way the watch was made or I am that unlucky and I got the bad in the bunch, in any case bad start never owned a JL and I thought to give it a try BIG mistake.
The movement is off I own 7 other either automatic or chronometerwatches froma Zodiac,to GMT masterall swipe not swipe tick then skip and jump 3 to 5 seconds.
The links are falling off and you can't get them back on had to take it to a jewel er to fix it the very first day I got it the watch.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT

This watch is truly a sight to behold.The photos don't even do it justice.The Atomic Time Keeping works great, combined with SOLAR power makes it a very cool precise analog watch.

The Stop Watch and Countdown timers are intuitive.The alarm is so dainty quiet it's pretty much useless, but now I use my iPhone for alarm reminders anyway.

The world time feature is a great feature for when I'm traveling.Especially if between the same two locations, it's a breeze.Also very cool how the hands move gracefully between time zones.

This is a beautiful watch, much more substantial and attractive than the photos would indicate. It seems to be very accurate and ruggedly built. I love it except for one odd quirk: it has 2 separate digits for the dater, and when it flips past the number 31, instead of going to 01 it goes to 32. And 33. And 34. And on through 39 and then 00 and then 01. Very odd! I thought it was broken but Mondaine's repair shop tells me it is a "European movement" and just has to be reset every month. Oh well. Any dater has to be reset in 28 and 30 day months anyway. Still, a cool watch. Just requires a little more owner involvement than most.

I've had this watch for almost 3 years, and it's been an excellent watch. It illuminates blue in the dark and you can see everything! With the dual analog and digital time feature, it's also good for when I would travel between time zones. I'd always set the digital to the current time, and leave the analog where it was so I'd know what time it was at home. I've also never had to replace the battery. This time piece also has a feature where when you bend your arm to look at the watch, it automatically illuminates. Easy to set, easy to use, and all for under $50!! I highly recommend!

Who in their right mind is going to pay 675$ for a rubber strap? As an Omega owner, I have already spent enough money on the watch. I've been using this watch proudly for a month and still loving the looks. watch is big and heavy, but i knew this before from other reviews, but it matches me well as i am a big guy. after the removal of 2 links, the watch fits perfectly.

i've not attempted to understand the chronograph funstion as yet, so i am unable to comment on that function.

one huge malfunction i've had with my watch is that, at one point, the clasp would not hold, making the watch unusable. i was about to send the product back, but i took it to my local watch repair man, and he was able to solve the problem.

i am very satisfied and i hope to have this watch for yrs. to come.

I purchased this watch hoping it would make a great every day watch. I have to say it has blown my expectations away. I wear this watch continuously, to work, to the ocean to dive and surf, in the shower; never take it off. After months of wear, it looks absolutely brand new, not a single scratch. The Swiss movement keep impeccable time. It has a great bracelet, the watch is truly forgettable on your wrist. It is so light and fits so well. If you don't have a titanium bracelet watch in your collection, this would be a terrific addition! Invicta makes wonderful watches, truly value watches. I can never find comparable features at the price mark set by Invicta in other brands. And with that value you get very high quality. I have dozens and would say that Invicta is my favorite brand due to the high value and quality. I highly recommend this watch.

(And forget the chicken and egg argument about who copied who with the Citizen. I own both, and they are totally different watches. They each stand totally on their own merits. The Invicta has a real deal Swiss chrono, and the Citizen BL5250 has a real deal Japanese Eco-Drive, it comes down to what you want and the price. I am not sure on this but the similarity could be due to the fact that both bracelets and cases were manufactured by the same company. Possibly Citizen Miyota. Invicta purchases many Citizen Miyota movements. In fact I just read a few days ago that Invicta purchases more Miyota movements than any other watch maker for use in their watches. It's no stretch that they might purchase bracelets and cases in this special metal too.)

I bought this watch from Amazon store as a gift for my mom and she really likes it. There are not many automatic watches for ladies out there with casual look and this one is just perfect. It has nice display, it's not too heavy, could be slimmer though.

When I bought it I paid for it $135. After 1 week I saw price dropped to $81! I asked Amazon customer service for a refund of a difference and guess what- AMAZON DOESN'T HAVE PRICE PROTECTION POLICY!!! They are allowed to change prices daily and if you aren't lucky like I weren't, you can get ripped off from your purchase just in a few days for $50 or more bucks :( !

It took me a long time sifting through the details of the various Casio G-Shock watches available.None of them had all of the exact features I wanted, but I like the look and features of this one.I don't think the 3 dials at the top are particularly useful, but it does what it says it's supposed to and the silver case with gold face gives it a little more of a classy look that a pure outdoors tough look.Now if they made an atomic & solar version of this, that's what I'd prefer.The atomic solar versions either didn't display both date and day at the same time or didn't have a comparable countdown timer or a countdown timer at all, or the alarm had less features.I like the size of it too--it is smaller and lighter than my Timex Expedition Adventure Tech Shock w/compass, and cost less.[...]

The band looks pretty good, wraps comfortably around my wrist and it doesn't make my wrist sweat. I've only had it for a few weeks, so durability is still to be seen. The only issue i've had is with the pins, if you are doing any kind of sports, your watch will fall off. But I might just need to switch the pins.

This watch is as stunning when you open it out of the box as it is when you see it on the Internet. Comfortable and easy to use, the Nautica Chronograph in orange offers a good mix from the usual black leather watches I wear. What I appreciate about the Nautica is that the bezel dial is big, about 50mm across or 55mm if you count the crown, and for me 50mm is the minimum in my watches. The day before I received the Nautica, I was at the mall and I tried on a handsome Movado with a red dial, which costs $1,300. I must say the Movado I tried on, as attractive as it is, does not look as striking as my Nautica, which I purchased for $280 and which I can say gives me a lot of bang for my buck.

Review of Invicta Men's Pro Diver Collection Chronograph Watch #5443

Of the dozen or so Invictas in my collection, this is my favorite. Invicta's design team has distinguished itself with some great designs that are contemporary, while retaining classic lines. This Pro Diver Yachting Edition is a great example.

The size is perfect in this era of larger watches - it will look formidable on any wrist, but not overpower as some in the 50+mm range might.

The finish of the case and bracelet is equal to some of the most expensive watches on the market. The wave pattern of the guilloche face is reminiscent of Omega's Seamaster Pro.

The 10-minute countdown and 24-hour elapsed time racing timers and the 12-hour alarm are features that add greatly to the functionality of the watch.

For those who, like me, think this is a "must have," - and because Invicta does not provide any kind of instruction manual specific to this watch - go to the ISA site (at [...], click on "Technical Info" and scroll down to the ISASport category and click on the instruction manual for the calibre 8270 in whichever language you prefer. I had never heard of this brand before, but decided to take a risk. I have been searching for years to find a man's square or rectangle faced watch with a red and pink dial. Finally, I found one. Chronotech makes a pink and two red variations. I ordered the pink one and received it today. What a beauty! A pink metallic dial with chrome "12" and "6"! They look black in the photos, but indeed they are bright silver. I am going to order the darker red one now! The best part is, the watch is just the right size. Some watches are too big and look like a satellite on your arm.

This is a beautiful watch, and so far it has kept good time, but the seconds dial at the bottom is already malfunctioning.When used in the chronometer mode, it resets to 4 instead of 0.A minor glitch, but hopefully not indicative of things to come.The fit and finish is excellent, but don't let that fool you into believing you are getting that quality in internal parts.This is a quartz model, with a battery, and I would not invest in an automatic at these prices.I would also choose one of the less expensive and simpler models without the chronometer function.For one thing, the buttons to activate it feel "iffy," like they are binding on something internal.Chronometers are complicated anyway, and just something else to go wrong in an inexpensive watch.

As I said, it does seem to be keeping good time, and I can't really say enough about how good this watch looks.It reminds me of the much more expensive IWC Pilot's watches. As long as you view it as a "fashion" watch, it is a nice one, but I don't know how dependable it will be in the long run.

I just received my second delivery of this watch.The first one i purchased from ebay, and after 2 days it went haywire.I put in a what I thought was a new battery from Radio Shack, but the watch was still acting weird.The display was showing some jibberish and it made weird noises.I returned the watch and bought this one from Amazon, opened up the box and it was dead.I ended up metering the battery and it read .12 volts.It is supposed to read 1.5 or more volts.I also metered the battery from Radio Shack.That one only read .42 volts.Did I return the other watch for no reason?Did it just need a new battery?Turns out, Yes.I returned the weak Radio Shack battery, exchanged it for one that read 1.54 volts in the store, brought it home and the watch worked fine.I've read other reviews on this watch and i've seen similar descriptions of wacky this happening after a period of time.This watch needs at least 1 volt of power to work right.Nike came out with this watch at the end of 2005 and most of the batteries will be dead if you buy one now.Just have some spare batteries around to enjoy this watch.Buy this watch if you are looking for a comfortable, simple, durable, wicked cool, and affordable timepiece.

I was looking for a watch that didn't have too large a face and wasn't too thick or bulky.I had purchased a similar diver's watch that had a 43mm face, and that appeared too large on my relatively small wrist.This self-winding Seiko watch fit the bill, but actually lookssmaller than I expected.The face is 38mm.It's a nice looking, solidly built watch, which you can buy at a reasonable price. In the end, I would prefer something with just a little larger face. Maybe I'll get it right next time.

I've used Casios for many years and after the last one died after only two years, I started searching for a nice looking watch for a reasonable price.After eliminating countless models from Casio through Heuer, I rediscovered Timex, a brand I hadn't bought in 20 years.

I was concerned about the watch's face and band being too blue, but the color is quite dark.The light blue accents on the band look good.So far the case and glass face are quite durable.I paid something like $38--I would have trouble getting a metal cased Casio for this money.

I wonder about the battery life since I can hear the sweep second hand move from 8 inches away--must take a lot of battery power to generate that sound, which I believe is by design.

Instantly my new favorite watch.The actual watch part is fairly conventional, your usual chronograph face with your usual chronograph functions.Works perfectly well.
But the band is what sets it apart.The thermoplastic links almost glow.They have a soft feel and make the watch very light in weight as well.
My wrists are fairly narrow, so I had to have three links removed to make it fit.But the fit is now perfect, with the one of the best deployment clasps I have yet used.

This watch is a real showstopper. The picture does it no justice. The face is quite large but not too large. The calfskin band has a deployment clasp. The polished stainless steel and sapphire crystal shimmer very nicely in the light. The perpetual calendar keeps track of leap years and the watch is equipped with auto-relay so that the hands fall asleep after 24 hours of non-use to preserve energy but saves the correct time for up to 4 years. The watch comes back to life with a few shakes and the hands go back to the correct time automatically. All in all, you cannot find such a functional and beautiful watch for anywhere near this modest price. I suggest searching for this watch on Ebay as I got mine from there for under four hundred dollars.

I purchased this watch while on vacation in the Bahamas. As when traveling abroad you worry you are paying too much under the auspice of "duty-free". For once, I didn't feel that way. I paid the exact same price as it is here on Amazon, minus the shipping and tax.

For the price this is an excellent daytime watch. I wore it all around the island while snorkeling, jet skiing, and hanging around. It was able to handle a beating without losing any of its look.

If you are looking for an inexpensive watch that looks nice, plays well, and can transition from day to night, I recommend this watch.

Review of Seiko Men's Retrograde Date Indicator Watch #SNT006

Unlike the gargantuan Nautica and other similarly-priced multi-dial watches, this Seiko is small, thin, and elegant.It is a completely normal-sized watch for a man, very light, and immediately comfortable to wear.The sub-dials include day-of-week, 24-hour time, and day-of-month, basically everything you would ever need on a watch (except a chronograph).The picture is basically accurate, but the case, hands, and time markings are all bright shiny gold, very nice, and the band is a lighter brown than what is shown, almost an orange-brown.All in all, the actual watch is nicer than the picture.

As a final note, read the instructions before setting the watch. It is not necessary to go around and around to set the day of the week... the instructions explain the right way to do it (which I neglected to read).I am really impressed with this watch, and I believe it has a three-year warranty to boot. Enjoy.

I bought this watch and didn't know about its automatic movement until I didn't wear it for 2 days.I was pretty bummed that it had lost time, and thought I had to get the battery replaced.That made me pretty mad because I only had the watch 2 days.But then I realized that I didn't see a battery through the back of the watch, and then when I adjusted the time, I realized that I could wind my watch a little bit.Presto!I realized I had an automatic watch.

It is really fun to watch the inner workings of the watch.That's really what drew me to it.I haven't had a crystal stone fall off the face yet, but my watch is only 1 week old.The leather band is very comfortable, and the watch doesn't feel overly bulky or heavy like I had expected.No scratches on the watch face yet - but I'm used to sapphire faces so we'll have to see how this watch holds up to my abuse. All my other watches that didn't have sapphire crystal faces got scratched pretty bad - I learned my lesson.

Very subtle ticking noise - not enough to keep you awake at night like a Timex watch.I refuse to wear Timex because they are too loud when I'm trying to sleep and the watch is just in the room.The skeleton face and automatic movement is a great draw.Hopefully I can post an update once the watch has been through a bit with me.Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.I would rate this watch a 5 star if it had a sapphire watch face.It's pretty, comfortable, feminine, and fun to wear.

I really liked the look and feel of this watch, only one problem: the band is too short to get around my wrist! Now admittedly my wrist is a little on the larger size (8 inches); however, that is not on the extreme by any means (I believe the average American male's wrist is between 6.75" and 8.25"). The watch description does not give an actual measurement, but rather says "Band length: mens", so I assumed I'd be able to wear the watch, even if it was a bit snug. I was wrong. I can't even pull this thing tight enough to get to the first notch! Like I said, nice looking watch, but if you have even slightly larger wrists I'd avoid this one.

For those who wish to buy this watch, the band-length is 7.5" to the first notch (if your wrist is bigger than that then don't bother with this purchase unless you want a "collectible" or to have to immediately replace the band).

I ordered this for a 22mm Watch Band that tapered to 20mm.It is very well built, with tight tolerances and locks up very well.The release "wings" are easy to get to and the pin/'overlock' portion closes well.

I purchased a Modena 22mm clasp (Hadley-Roma/Amazon didn't have a polished 22mm clasp) for another watch and the quality just isn't the same.Depending on the watch and your budget I guess you could go with the Modena offerings in similar size and finish, but the Modena was just a bit sloppier and loose in its fit and build quality.I will spend a little more in the future and buy the Hadley-Roma offerings if they have the size and finish I need.

This watch is really nice. It has a very elegant looking simple clock face. It's made with great material and even has an Italian leather strap. The watch feels like it's worth more than I paid for and I haven't regretted buying this watch since it came in the mail nearly a month ago. It looks great, it's very fashionable, and it also gets you lots of attention from your friends, family members and strangers.

The only drawback that I see to this watch is that sometimes it is hard to tell what time it is exactly because there are no numbers printed on the face but it is still a nice fashionable watch. If you're more into the design of the watch and looking for something that is different and fashionable at the same time this is your watch but if you're looking for accuracy I suggest looking around more.
