Review of Swatch - SFK119

I loved this watch for as long as it lasted - the time started going wacky at 11 months despite the fact that new battery was installed.Three months later when the watch was just over a year old the strap went to jelly and the now it's just one long slit so there is nothing for the catch to hold on to so the watch is useless. I'd stick with Swatch if they replaced their watch straps - stupid money-making greedy pigs - too bad.

Review of Swatch Fashion Collection Women's watch #YSS147

I bought this watch to my sister, who is forty-something and is starting to have sight shortages. Since the watch never fits the center and it is always hanging around (which she finds annoying) and given it is too tiny, her possibilities to actually used it as a watch and not as a wrist-chain are quite null.
I goes without saying that I do not thing such a small and delicate watch is not very appropriate for men but that would all be a matter of style.

Review of Swatch Men's Originals A Thousand Crossings watch #SUIB100

Although there is no pretension made that this is a high end luxury watch, the design also defies typical categorization and presents what can be described only as a truly "Swatch" design. It's unusual and eye catching by any measure.

The watch case itself is made of a super lightweight plastic, and the band of a semi-synthetic resin/silicone that is unexpectedly light. In fact, the entire watch weights only an ounce or two, and the first time you pick one up, you may be as surprised as I was to discover just how light the entire package is.

The band is not simply painted with color stripes, but some of these bright stripes are actually separate resin pieces welded into the band, making the overall appearance quite sophisticated and a bit exotic. This unorthodox design is carried over to the watch face itself, which presents multiple bright colors throughout the design, as lovely in real life as the photos make you believe (which is not true of all watches). This is an unusual piece by any stretch, and its colorful design is both playful and "artsy" at the same time.

The battery, as in all Swatches, is a standard size, so there should be little trouble in locating the battery replacement online for a reasonable price. The battery is easily changed by anyone with a small flathead screwdriver, so paying $10 - $15 to have someone change the 99 cent battery is not necessary.

Swatch, the largest watchmaker in the world, continues to innovate with fun and enjoyable designs, and the "Thousand Crossings" is a great example of the creative urge at work in the company. As with all Swatches, the entire unit is manufactured in Europe, so quality is extrememly high, and one can expect successful, long term operation with little thought, as long as the watch is not abused.

I highly recommend this unusual Swatch for fun, wearing, and collecting!
