It's very thick at 4mm (about 5/32 inches). That's almost twice as thick as the band I was replacing. The result is a "boxy" look: it stood out from my wrist so you could see a little daylight near the watch. I've been wearing it regularly for a few weeks and the boxy effect is calming down. The heavy weight and white stitching make it look more casual than formal, and that's working fine for me. The texture in the leather is not quite as pronounced as in the image, but it's definitely noticeable.
