Review of Orient Men's Blue and Red Bezel Automatic Rubber Strap Dive Watch #CEM65003D

The Orient CEM65003D is another variation in the large, and popular, automatic day/date diver watch collection by Orient.I bought this model with the rubber strap, because I like to be able to easily adjust the fit of the watch on my wrist. The Orient band is okay, but I found it a little stiff, and replaced it with a 22mm woven nylon band. The original band was pretty long, and would easily fit over a wet suit - if I was a deep sea diver.(I'm a desk-bound computer weenie.)

I've been pleased with the accuracy of the CEM65003D.After a month of wear, I've found that mine's accurate to within about a minute a week.Mine runs slow.I set the time a minute ahead, and when the watch is a minute behind, a little more than two weeks later, I set it ahead again. In this way, I know that my watch is within a minute of the correct time.If you want a really accurate watch, you're probably ahead getting a quartz model, but there's something about a mechanical movement that appeals many watch wearers.

The controls of the CEM65003D are a bit odd.The watch has a screw-down crown, and a screw-down locking ring around the pusher button. The pusher button does nothing but advance the day name of the day/date display.Unlike most day/date watches sold in the United States, the day name abbreviations aren't bilingual. The day name advances two notches for each day, so they could be bilingual, but instead, the second day name is repeated in English with the day number after each - e.g. Mon1, Tue2, etc.

The CEM65003D is sometimes called the "Pepsi" model, because the rotating bezel is blue and red, and reminds users of a Pepse bottle cap.I just like the little flash of color.By the way, the dial is beautiful, with a deep blue dial that appears to be glazed, and nicely finished luminescent hour markers, and easily read hands

Review of Orient Men's 'Black Mako' Automatic Rubber Strap Dive Watch #CEM65004B

First, I am Mike, Judy'husband, and I purchased the Orient Mens Black Mako in Jan.2009.I have been 100% satisfied with the Orient Divers Watch in the time I've had it. I live in Florida in the winter and have used it in swimming and snorkeling. It is extremely comfortable to wear outside and in the water. The band is very flexible and soft and adjusts to any size wrist. The face is big and easy to read in the water and the hands, numbers, and markings light up very nicely in the dark.
The day, date, and time are very easy to set.It has kept perfect time since day one. (Be aware that it is an automatic watch and if you take it off and put it down, it will stop running in about 3-4 days.) It is a great looking divers watch and I have received many compliments. I could have spent less for a dive watch, but for all the features, comfort, and looks in the Orient, I really beleive it is the best buy in the price range.

Review of Orient Men's Power Reserve Semi-Skeleton White Automatic Watch #CFM00004W

A great purchase!
The finish and details of this Orient automatic power reserve is excellent, a lot of people talk about Invictas, but let me tell you, Orient is much much better than invicta, is great value for what you pay, and remember , they make their own movements (unlike other brands that just assemble their watches without any good quality control). This is a very beefy watch with a great wrist presence. The case measures 44 mm wide x 50 mm long x 14 mm thick, rotating bezel, 100 meters water resistant, 21 jewel Orient in house movement with display back, screw down crown, power reserve and date complications. Power reserve up to 40 hours.

The finish and details are simply fantastic.I like everything about the multi-layer dial from the markers to the hands and everything in between. You won't get wrong with Orient!

Review of Orient Men's 'Orange Mako' Automatic Rubber Strap Dive Watch #CEM65004M

This is my second Mako (the other one is the Amazon exclusive yellow dial) and my 5th Orient automatic overall. You will not go wrong with this watch (or any Orient) if you want a good automatic that looks sharp and keeps good time especially at this price point. I am only gaining several seconds a day which is pretty good for an automatic. The orange dial is a head turner so be prepared to be noticed in this watch. I was afraid the orange would be a little "too" much but it actually wears and looks good. The rubber wrist band is fairly comfortable and easy to adjust. The only thing I don't like about the watch is the twin dolphins on the side of the band - just a personal preference. The watch uses 22mm bands and there are plenty on the market to choose from that will work great with the watch. I swapped the factory band for an orange 22mm double tang Modena Italian rubber divers band (available at Amazon)that matches the orange dial. I also have a black with orange stripe nylon zulu band for it that is a little bit more conservative. If you are on the fence about this watch, don't be. You will be very happy with it regardless of dial color or which band you select (the metal factory bracelet is good- I have it on the yellow dial Mako)
